Netanyahu Issues Fresh Military Directive to Increase Israeli Presence in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has signaled a major escalation in military operations in the Gaza Strip, announcing plans to expand Israeli control over a larger portion of the territory. Speaking during a conference in the West Bank, Netanyahu stated that Israel currently controls around 60 percent of Gaza and aims to increase that number to 70 percent in the coming phase of the conflict. The statement comes at a sensitive moment as indirect ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas are still ongoing. Netanyahu said Israel is continuing to increase pressure on Hamas through military action and suggested that the operation would move forward gradually.
